Hi, about learning to play guitar…

My name is Jack Igan and I write for the Guitar Center Blog. My hope is to help as many people as I can to learn how to play guitar in particular, and other instruments in which they may have an interest, such as the violin and piano. I started this how-to blog on learning to play the guitar  to help others wanting to get involved with guitars to deal with the sometimes overwhelming prospect of learning to play an unfamiliar instrument. Especially multistringed instruments such as the guitar and violin and their accompanying music.
